MTN urges customers to use the web portal to speed up SIM registration

MTN Ghana urges all customers who have yet to register their SIM cards to use the dedicated MTN SIM registration web portal to complete the registration before the July 31, 2022 deadline. The web portal URL for SIM registration is: https://simregistrationportal.mtn.com.gh/ .The portal can be found on the MTN website.
The SIM registration web portal will allow customers to link their Ghana cards to their SIM cards before going to the service center or an authorized agent point for biometric data collection. The portal offers customers a web version of the USSD (*404#) process for linking customers’ Ghana card to their SIM cards.
The portal allows customers to also connect their data-only SIM cards to their Ghana card without having to remove their SIM cards from their devices. The portal connects SIM cards to routers, MIFI, TurboNet, security cameras, tracking devices and other non-mobile devices.
Commenting on the portal, Chief Sales and Distribution Officer Shaibu Haruna said: “As we approach the July 31 SIM registration deadline, we are utilizing all channels to ensure that every customer on our network is fully registered. . For this reason, we encourage our customers to use the MTN SIM registration web portal to speed up the process. ”
The web portal is also a channel for customers with Know Your Customer (KYC) issues such as naming conflicts to be able to upload images of their Proof of Ownership documents to verify their identity and SIM card ownership. Postpaid lines of individuals and companies can also use the portal to link their SIM cards to the Ghana Card.
MTN Ghana, as part of the ongoing SIM registration exercise, has developed the web portal to improve and speed up the voice and data SIM registration process. The SIM registration exercise will expire on July 31, 2022 and all MTN customers must register by the deadline
